Over three days, Wales International Documentary Festival will draw independent filmmakers, industry experts and international audiences to Blackwood, Wales.
Producers and broadcasters from all over the UK will participate in the co-production platform and the annual Commissioners' Brunch organised in partnership with BAFTA and Creative Europe.
Decision makers from the BBC, Channel 4, ITV and S4C will deliver a unique insight into their strategy and commissioning policy to a selected group of industry delegates from the UK and European markets.
The festival will screen over 50 films, will host networking events, masterclasses, training programmes and celebrate the best in documentary film making over the last year, from creative feature-docs to online short-docs.
International Feature Prize
This prize recognises and promotes independent filmmakers working in creative documentary. Successful entries will tell incredible stories in an innovative and cinematic way.
Short Docs Prize
This award recognises the best in short-form documentary.
Micro-Docs have become an important form driven in large part by the demand for online content, Online documentary is a new and powerful medium of storytelling, education and activism that reaches an ever broader audience through social media.

The film must be completed after 1st January 2017 and non-English language films must have English subtitles in order to be considered. Unfortunately at this time we cannot accept rough cuts.
By submitting a film you agree with WIDF's submission guidelines and the potential use for non-commercial purposes and in our festival taster clips.
The online preview of your film has to be accessible until Sunday 07 May 2019.
