WHO KILLED ZOOMBIE?

The Rio City Hall, through the Municipal Secretariat of Culture - via Fomento à Cultura Carioca (Seal) presents WHO KILLED ZOOMBIE?

Selected by FOCA, the original film-play idealized and performed by Brunno Rodrigues holds a debate on the continuous genocide of the black people and culture.

Aiming to reinforce the debate about the continuous genocide of the provo and the black culture, the unprecedented project “Who killed Zumbi?”, with scenes recorded inside the MUHCAB – Museum of Afro-Brazilian History and Culture, at the BLACK NEW Institute, in Estação de Cinema Net Rio, at Armazém da Utopia, in studios and exteriors filmed in different parts of Rio, the project celebrates the 25-year career of Brunno Rodrigues, creator, author and actor.

The play-film is directed by Brunno and Alex Borges, and aims to promote critical reflection on aspects of reality such as how many blacks are attacked, arrested or killed every day or how many blacks are murdered, not in their flesh - but in their dreams - due to the lack of study conditions and opportunities.
