WALKING ANGELS (LES ANGES VAGABONDES)
Bil and Camille, two skaters from Montreal, Canada, explore the Rosemont neighborhood in search of the best places to shoot a video. At once a choreographic and feminist film and a quasi-tribute to an underestimated genre cinema, Michaël Fortin's Anges vagabondes, presented as part of Les Mondes de Rosemont at Cinéma sous les étoiles in Montreal, gives all the nobility to skateboarding . In a sensitive and deeply human film, Michaël Fortin's camera has managed to capture the friendship between the two characters who are members of the group Les Vagabonnes, through beautiful scenes of direct cinema captured on the spot. Beyond skateboarding, it is above all a film about the essence of freedom, depoliticized, that of hair in the wind on a beautiful summer afternoon, an illustration of this feeling that we all love to feel.
By definition, angels are messengers. There is no doubt that the two characters play the role of transmitters of a taste for freedom and transformation through action in their "wandering" in this documentary essay.

Michaël Fortin has been exploring the world with his camera for twenty years, mainly in protest and marginalized circles.
Opting for an approach combining anthropology, symbolic interactionism and Cinema direct, his visual writing is part of an approach freely inspired by "spontaneous writing" and the "literature of the moment" of the beat generation. He has also devoted himself to the dissemination and promotion of independent short films, notably by co-founding Courts critiques and 99% Média.
