'WADE ST MEATS' is a family-owned butcher shop in rural NSW, Australia. It’s been around for 80 years but it's seen better days. When Austin, the butcher’s boy whose father has recently died, finds out his best friend Nick is leaving town, he must decide between carrying on the family business or leaving it all behind.

Director Biography - Rhianna Spooner, Jack McGrath

Rhianna Spooner & Jack McGrath are an emerging directing duo who met while studying at the Australian Film TV Radio School (AFTRS). Their unique voice spans short films, commercials, and music videos.

WADE ST MEATS is Jack & Rhianna’s AFTRS graduation shortfilm. Since graduating in May 2023 they received the Greenhouse National Artist Residency to write an Australian Western based on WADE ST MEATS.

They have also made music videos for the TikTok musician Cowboy Malfoy which have gained online popularity. They're currently making a gothic musical webseries with Cowboy Malfoy, with production spanning Australia, New York and Mexico.
