Volzhskie Vorota

For 16 years Vitaliy Maryankov played for the football club «Khimik». He was a captain of the team and fan favorite of Dzhambul. At 33, he became a player-coach, at 36 – a head of the team of masters. Maryankov's successful football and coaching career ends in the late 90's. He returns with his family to their historical homeland and long looks for a job. In 2001, Vitaliy Maryankov is hired by a local entrepreneur to work as a children’s coach in Tolyatti.

Director Biography

Sergei Aleksandrov born in 1965 in the village Ishimskoye in North Kazakhstan region. From 1985 to 1989 studied in the Ural State University. In 1999 graduated the VGIK, the economic department. Lived at the south of Kazakhstan for a long time where he seriously was involved in TV and cinema. Since 2001 has been living and working in Russia.
