Experiencing Interruptions?

Voiceless

Since the early 2000s, companies have been creating landfills in neighborhoods of Pensacola, Fl without the knowledge of its residents. These landfills and the toxins released from its contents have been the cause of decreases in property value, many illnesses, and multiple deaths. The Wedgewood/Rolling Hills community have become victims to this practice. This middle class neighborhood is comprised of elderly men and women who have lived in the community for over 50 years. Although request have been made to remove the pits their cry for help has not been addressed and to-date continues to go unnoticed.

Director Statement

I grew up in Pensacola, FL. For the most part, it is a wonderful place full of very welcoming and hard working people. But over the years I kept hearing about landfills, and when I went back home to visit, I was shocked at the number of landfills and pits that were put into my old neighborhood. What was worst, was the complete lack of regret showed by the owners of the landfills. I wanted to do something.. so I created a film to bring awareness of not only what is happening in Pensacola.. but as I found out, what has been happening all over the country.
