Vivek Tripathi was born on 2nd Oct 1983, as third and youngest son to a middle class working parents in a small town (Ballia, UP). Having completed his schooling from local Hindi medium government school, he did graduation in Psychology and Philosophy from Hamedia College, Bhopal (MP), with Gold medal, and subsequently joined post graduation in Philosophy from prestigious Hindu College, Delhi University.

He joined erstwhile State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur as Asst Manager for 4 years (2012-2016). Even during the brief tenure, he continued his tryst with creativity. He is credited with designing the logo for Marathon for which he was awarded by the Bank. He also received an appreciation letter for streamlining ... work in bank in 2016.

However, overwhelmed by his desire to peruse his interest in film making, he resigned in july 2016 and joined AAFT for one year direction course for formal training in film making. Mukta is his debut film, made while still undergoing the course.

His interest in film making predates his venture, having been a film critique, and movie buff. He launched a film website www.filmikasba.com to bring like-minded cinema lovers on a platform. He had been associated with a news-weekly Navjanya, heading its creative team, published from Lucknow (UP), INDIA.
