Violet Rain

Shaun Edward Lupton is an American filmmaker. Coming from a multi cultured family raised Filipino Irish allowed him to see the world differently. Born with a brush in his hand he excelled in the arts and won many competitions throughout his youth. But it was the love for cinema and storytelling that lead him to college gaining his BFA in 3D animation and film that blended both art and visual storytelling. It was that perfect combination that he excelled in for the next 17 years as a creative director in design and motion graphics.

Presently, having worked both as a Director of Photography and Film Director he continues to stretch the limits in everything he does both visually through light and composition but also artistically through color, character, and story. His style is both a mix of dark up close visuals that grab your attention, to edgy performances and offbeat sound, combined with a Rembrandt/Picasso lighting style and color pallet to create the mood. The balance of creating scenes that move you, makes you laugh, cry, cringe, or entertain is what he works on with every new story or film he creates.
