"Villainy" is a high school drama that follows the story of 16-year-old student Jane, who accidentally witnesses the notorious school bully, Ian, beating up the kind-hearted, well-behaved student, Mathew. Based on her impressions of both Ian and Mathew, Jane musters the courage to record Ian's violent act and reports it to the police. However, the truth is not what it seems... True villainy is often hidden behind a mask of hypocrisy.

Director Biography - Chloe Liu

Chloe Liu is a director and writer based in Sydney. Raised in the Tongzhou District of Beijing, she received a traditional Chinese education and never imagined a future in film production. However, her studies in Network and New Media at the Communication University of China sparked her interest in the media industry. During her time there, she contributed to the documentary "Alley Steward," which won the 10th China Documentary Academy Award for Best Short Documentary.

Upon graduating, Chloe joined the Creative Visual Department at Xiaomi, where she began producing and editing television commercials for the mobile brand. This experience allowed her to accumulate a wealth of knowledge in advertising.

After gaining substantial work experience, Chloe decided to pursue her dream of making movies. She enrolled in the Master of Film and Screen Arts program at the Sydney College of the Arts, two years after starting her career. There, she began writing, directing, and creating her own films. Her work, "Villainy," received high praise within the college.
