Viktor Zhitlov was born in Kazan, in a family of teachers, a government workers and lawyers. Viktor graduated from Kazan State University, where he became specialist-historian. He continued studied in post graduate courses. The goal of his researches was a topics of the Napoleonic period and the Fall of the Constituent Assembly in Russia. In his long career, at first he had no relations to cinema. He was the head of marketing of CTC-Media Holding, the Director of Sponsorship of the World Summer Universiade in Kazan, and even held international events at the UN with the World Chamber of Commerce. At some point, he decided - «now or never», left the former sphere and began to shoot author's films, graduating from the film academy of the world-famous playwright and director Alexander Mitta. From 2022 to 2023, Viktor shot two short films, "The cat once said" and "Nysa-Mysteries of the city of gods", became the founder of the genre of "aesthetic documentaries", where a significant part of the visual and documentary material is accompanied by a magnificent musical environment. Also he is developing his own "Storyteller" channel.
