Joey Miller is a multimedia artist from Camden County, New Jersey, who currently resides in Philadelphia, PA. Evolving personal experiments in filmmaking since 2015, Joey garnered career traction in later teen years with his portfolio, earning a hefty scholarship to study Film/Animation, Fine Arts, and Musical Production at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. While there, dreams of honing a childhood love for drawing into narrative animation actualized, alongside a suddenly blossoming array of stories demanding to be told; while still developing refined character animation for future endeavors, outlets for fresh tales have varied from intricate experimental films to stage performance, gallery installations, musical compositions, and subversive advertisement campaigns on social media.
When asked what is functionally unique about the end products, Joey usually points to the byproduct of indulging in hobbies- which have amassed into a large database of personal artwork. Developing new ideas from combining items in a personal catalog for inspiration ensures a degree of customization to let art build upon itself without constraint of red tape, until ready for presentation.
We must insist that individuality is expansive and kind, as to accept one another more often, able to prove from our own experience that no two minds are truly alike.
