In 2019, we hosted: 83 Filmmakers - 6 countries – 114 films

Join us June 11-14, 2020 on the Treasure Coast of Florida. It’s easily accessible from surrounding communities in Orlando and Miami as well as the cosmopolitan markets of New York City and Washington D.C. Celebrities, influential business leaders and a community of urban sophisticates call it home and are avid patrons of the fine and culinary arts.

We roll out the red carpet and provide host accommodations for our filmmakers during our full-bodied cinematic celebration. Filmmakers receive complimentary passes and have the opportunity to interact with industry professionals and audience members in one of the most intimate, relaxed and inspiring settings on the festival circuit.

As an intimate festival, our community truly welcomes you. Chances are, you will have sold-out showings of your film and our audiences will get you. They laugh, they cry and ask all the right questions. And, on top of all that, you will be wined & dined!

We benefit Suncoast Mental Health Center which provides life-changing services to over 1,400 children and families in Vero Beach and the four Treasure Coast counties.

Past attendees include "Life Worth Living Legend Award" Honorees actor, author and activist George Takei and box office film star Burt Reynolds. Honorary Festival Chair Jeffrey Lyons, 5-time Emmy award-winning critic, and Peabody award-winning Director Jeff Woolnough.

Many films have gone from screenings at VBWFF on to significant success and distribution. We look forward to screening your films and upon acceptance, welcoming you to a warm and wonderful film festival by the sea which embraces independent filmmakers.

A real gem of a film festival. A fun and engaging experience for all the filmmakers and film goers - intimate and accessible. In only its 4th year there is such a wealth of film & event options that it rivals the offerings of much more established festivals. Already looking forward to next year!
