Nick, Faith, Marco, Brennan, Kyndle, Black Rock Revival, and Keia will take us on their own personal journey of discovery, dedication, and determination to achieve success in music. This documentary further witnesses the day-to-day challenges that artists, musicians, and producers face in remaining steadfast in the pursuit of their dream. Director Biography - Lakethen Mason

Lakethen Mason was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He is a hometown graduate of Saint Benedict High School, HBCU graduate of Florida A&M University and MBA Graduate from Christian Brothers University. Lakethen shares a deep passion for music and film and has lent his time to the Memphis entertainment scene as songwriter, artist manager, and film maker.

Lakethen created Memphis FilmWorks a non profit media production company to focus on producing compelling stories which connect communities and amplify the voices of humanity everywhere. Because of his love for Memphis music and Memphis artists, Lakethen was tapped to develop, produce, and direct VERGE Memphis that showcases the colorful journeys of 7 emerging artists and bands pursuing their musical dreams in Memphis.

Up next for Lakethen and his media company include: The Nehemiah Project, a moving story of three young men fighting against the trauma of substance abuse and addiction. We are also working on a moving story about the lives of urban high schoolers faced with seemingly insurmountable odds just to graduate and escape the traps of their environment.

According to Lakethen, “My strong belief and favorite quote is by philosopher Howard Thurman and it says “ Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who come alive.” This has been my motto for building my own pathway to success, and producing the stories that we share.
