Vera

The film tells about a 19-year-old Vera, who lost her parents in childhood. Now she is living in the public organization "Our House". Vera is one of 7 orphan girls living here. The organization takes care of their maintenance, but the house has its own rules. Every step of the girls is controlled by the management. Vera's biggest dream is to get out of this cage and enjoy a little sense of freedom. She believes that one day her dreams come true.

Director Biography - Ani Grigoryan

I'm Ani, I'm 20. I used to write different interesting stories since my childhood. One of my earliest childhood memories was watching Anri Verno's film "Mayrig" with my family. Inspired by F. Fellini's "The book of Dreams" I was determined to step into the world of movies. Now I'm studying film directing in YSITC. To be more specific I'm interested in documentary films, human fate, as they leave deep marks in history, and are always contemporary... I think the most gifted work is the description of a man's life, emotions, feelings, pains and struggle with an artistic style. I've shot a film - portrait in my 2nd year of study, which is called "Against colds". Its about 90 year old Epraqsia, who lives on her own, but in winter when it gets cold outside she needs to leave her lovely house, hoping to come back in spring. The film won the "Audience award" in International Kin Fil Festival, in Armenia. It also participate in Italian Cefalu Film Festival and had an online screenings. My next film "Vera" speaks about an orphan young lady who earns for her freedom. I hope it will have a blast.
