Director Statement

This project was inspired by my desire to show two trans-lesbian lovers finding hope amidst an
alienating, oftentimes hostile world. I wanted to convey the total world melting power that can
come from being seen by someone when you’ve always been invisible. The experience
of actually finding connection for someone who is transsexual and autistic, to me, can feel like a
supernatural experience. I also believe there is something supernatural about love in general.
The project is about t4t love but also about how that can facilitate self acceptance.
I don’t believe things are always so simple as just “falling in love”, so there is a feeling of
fleeting hope underneath the euphoria.
The form is somewhat abstract to convey the state of mind of the characters and also to allow
the audience to participate by filling in some blanks.
The film was shot on essentially no budget and was a total labor of love.
