Founded in 2018 in British Columbia, Canada, the Vancouver International Youth Film Festival (VIYFF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empower youth and emerging filmmakers from all backgrounds. The festival runs annually, welcoming aspiring filmmakers around the world to showcase their talent in the event. VIYFF offers a diverse array of screenings, workshops, industry talks, and panel discussions with the goal of helping young filmmakers expand their networks within the film industry and providing mentorship to pursue their chosen career paths.

Our vision is to serve as the bridge between the film industry and youth filmmakers. Nurture and showcase rising stars in youth filmmaking and bridging connections to experience professionals.

Our mission is to be the guidance for youth and emerging filmmakers at the start of their journey by providing mentorship, industry training, and opportunities such as competitions for them to gain project fundings. The VIYFF aims to scout, support and nurture young talents, ensuring they are well-prepared for successful careers in the film industry.

All emerging and aspiring filmmakers are welcome to submit their works to VIYFF!
