Director Statement

In 2024, we decided to participate in the 48HFP Short Film Rally, where we were assigned the genres of Drama and Coming of Age. Together with our screenwriter, Valentina Dominguez, we chose to address one of the most pressing and unfortunate issues in Mexico and around the world: femicide.
With this short film, we aim to raise our voices for all the missing women who can no longer speak for themselves. We seek to raise awareness in society, reminding everyone not to be complacent, as femicides are often closer to their victims than they seem. Valle de los Conejos strives to awaken social consciousness so that, together, we can put an end to these crimes once and for all.
