Ebony DeGrace is an emerging cinematographer, photographer, and an aspiring screenwriter and director. She has participated in 8 film workshops in a film program based in Baltimore since 2018 and has completed 6 films, some collaborative and most independently; along with 1 independent study workshop for screenwriting. For over 2 years, Ebony has been consistently learning the technical, visual, and narrative aspects of filmmaking through various online platforms and resources, intensive film workshops, and from visual compelling work through the eyes of some of her favorite filmmakers, such as Terence Nance, Jenn Nkiru, Sophia Nahli Allison, Kahlil Joseph and various others. She considers herself to be a cinematic experimentalist and aspires to continuously uplift and uphold the Black experience through conceptualized, outer-worldly visual work.
My vision is to create experimental visuals that invokes a personal, intimate mood and takes the viewer on a profound, spiritual, cosmic, and metaphysical journey.
