Vaguely Surrounding Paths II
Vaguely Surrounding Paths II is part of a series of films that stand at the intersection between experimental cinema, video poetry, performance and actions.
In that context I evoke the Allegory of the Candle credited to the Greek philosopher Diogenes of Sinope ( 423-323 B.C ) and bring it to contemporaneity. In the top of an "artificial" cliff located in a place where once was a quarry, the character carries a flashlight in broad daylight in a absurd and poetic mission of endless searching.
