Andrée Harris is an actress, author, empowerment speaker, radio hos, evangelist and founder of Just 4 Us Foundation, Inc. She is USA born and 75% West African. She was born and raised in Washington, DC. Since childhood, she used arts as a means of escape from trauma. She would always get lost in the life of someone on screen or a character in a book. She regain her passion for writing while in a wheelchair. In 2010 she wrote and directed her first stage play. In 2015 she wrote and directed another stage play, in which she had a role in it. Thus catching the acting bug. She has worked with several award winning directors. In 2019 she vowed to write and produce 3 short films. She doesn't let age deter her. In fact, she feels that this is the perfect season for artistic growth and maturity. She invests in herself, by way of connecting with others and taking courses.
Upon writing Backwards, old wounds that she thought she had overcome were re-opened. Witnessing domestic violence at an early age rendered her unable to have healthy boundaries and maintain healthy relationships. It kept her justifying behaviors of her others in her life that she knew were unjustifiable. When she discovered her true worth, she took a stand. She empathizes with persons who are those who were struggling with domestic violence. Andrée spends her time between her family, ministry, the arts, writing, as well as, working with women in recovery, speaking against domestic violence, bullying and advocating for children in foster care.
Never quit! You have just as much as the next person, so do not compare yourself, however, you should constantly prepare yourself to be your best self.
