VIFAwards has developed a strategic partnership with Hewes Pictures, an International Sales Agent. The Best Feature and Best Short of each season will be eligible for a first look deal should the filmmakers be so inclined.

For the 2025 season onward, the annual Best Feature and Best Short will be screened at The Cinematheque in Vancouver, BC, Canada before an audience of Industry professionals. The Cinematheque is a cultural institution that values cinema as a communal and transformational art form. There will be a live Q&A with the filmmakers after each screening. The entire showing will be followed with a celebratory cocktail reception.

Vancouver, also known as "Hollywood North", is a hub for both U.S. and Canadian productions. It is part of our mission statement to introduce our winners to that community, and the industry professionals within it.

We're an official cohost of the First Monday on Main St party at Sundance Film Festival, with VIFA festival entry you receive a guaranteed invite to this event.

We were beyond thrilled when we found out that our short film Ed & Alfie won both Best Actress and Best Screenplay at the Vancouver Int'l Film Awards. Communication could not have been better and we are still smiling.

  • Vancouver Int'l Film Awards is a top notch competition that is well organized and has great communication. In short, it was a terrific experience. I'm extremely honored my screenplay, The Red Zone, was chosen as the Best Feature Screenplay. Keep up your great work!

It was an honor to have my editor be chosen and my documentary, My Journey Home, be chosen this 2024 festival.
Thank you to those who viewed it and hope those that are chosen in the future are just as honored as I am as the creator
Thank you to StoryHive, Selwyn Jacob's and the crew I worked with for all the guidance. This 60's scoop survivor and daughter of a Nisga'a matriarch is so grateful.
I did not get an email for attending the festival bur hope to read online how it went

  • We are really happy that our film "Rose to crown" is selected by this quarterly festival. It is very competitive. I submitted 4 times with award winning films before and was rejected 4 times. Glad that I did not give up.
