Dylan Bruce is a director who just wants to create something new. These days, most films are remakes or might as well be. We've seen it already. The world needs new mediums, new stories, new voices. In 2016, Dylan released student film 'Artemis' to small audiences in Maine. In 2020, he spearheaded an indie animated comedy project called BLUNT. The project was a moderate success with some crowd-funding and over 40,000 total views. In 2021, he will release his second film 'VICK.' An animated comedy about a children's book author on a drug binge.
VICK is a passion project that I began writing in June of 2020 after quitting my job to reevaluate the path I was following with my career. The animation style is created using stock photos and footage from around Titusville, FL. By combing the two mediums and adding movement in Photoshop, I was able to create a puppet animation to tell my story. To me, VICK is about finding yourself and the writers process.
