VIBRANT HANDS
VIBRANT HANDS (2019) by Patrícia Lino explores the visual, performative, and musical representation of 12 fragments included in 'Tisanas' by Ana Hatherly. It also focuses on the relation of the textual, visual, and musical dimensions of the 12 fragments to create an interpretative and yet completely autonomous audiovisual object.
VIBRANT HANDS questions the traditional figure of the literary critic, the very act of writing as well as the role(s) of the reader through the plastic and sonorous manipulation of Hatherly's imposing, comic, and irreverent language.
The articulation of various expressive dimensions matches, moreover, the unusual and bold articulation of various materials and techniques: from analog film to the iPhone camera, from the sound of the bell to the synthesizer, from digital drawing to performance.
