Mark Williams was born in Balham, South London on 24th May 1963.
He was sort of educated in and around the South London/Croydon area and went on to work for several major film companies in the late seventies/early eighties including CIC and Paramount Pictures UK as a Film Projectionist.
Mark co-directed and produced the smash hit cult underground documentary “VHS Forever? Psychotronic People” in 2014 and runs the punk rock/music related website “Smash-It-Up.com” with former Croydon Punk Ian Carter, who also originally hails from Croydon.
Mark has also written, directed and produced a six part web series about the UK seventies punk rock music scene entitled “Smash-It-Up-The Series” which will also be released eventually as an expanded feature film.
He is currently working on several projects including another music related documentary to be filmed in 2021.
I like to make films which are personal to me with the hope that a wider audience will enjoy them too.
