The Missouri State University Media, Journalism & Film department is happy to announce the first annual Ursa Minor Film Festival! This brand new festival will be an amazing opportunity for Missouri high school-age students to show their potential as future filmmakers.
The Ursa Minor Film Festival hopes to encourage students to dream big and embrace their desire to create wonderful films.

First-place winners of each category will be invited to a one-on-one workshop session with a member of our distinguished faculty.
They will be highlighted on The Missouri State University Media Journalism & Film webpage along with a promotional and their film.
The top three winners in each category will receive a collection of Missouri State University merchandise.

Eligibility
1. Entrants must be enrolled in a Missouri high school or a Missouri resident, age 15-19.
2. Entrant must have the permission of a legal guardian or school faculty member to submit their film.
3. The film's crew must be comprised of only high school-age students. (Adults/children may be cast as actors.)
4. Entrant must submit original work.
5. By entering the contest, entrant acknowledges Missouri State University retains the right to show and include the submitted film in promotional material.
6. All music and other copyrighted materials must be properly licensed.
7. All entries must be in English or have English subtitles.
