Urban Yantra 1
Urban Yantras 1 & 2 are two short videos. The videos are inspired by the concept of Yantra, Islamic recursive geometric art, and algorithmic art. It is the result of an outdoor filming process and algorithmic activity. What interests me in the work is that it indicates a certain way in which the image unfolds from the imperceptible. Its moving abstraction evokes subjective states and the performative nature of algorithmic art.
