Dear Son
Dear Son is a vulnerable spoken word poetry short film chronicling a young couples journey through love, an unplanned pregnancy, and an abortion. We find ourselves in the flashback thoughts of the father: the self-loathing, doubts, fear, acceptance, love, regret, hurt and just the interconnected emotional spaces that is gone through during that time.

First Time Filmmakers: The Black and Mild Brothers: Urban Thoughts (Timothy Moore) and Knight the Poet (Jason Hall) set out to complete their first short film using poetry. Both are heavily awarded spoken word artists. Both share a deep friendship and kindred spirit for the arts.
Art must provoke, agitate, uplift and give purpose as a direct memory and record of this life and space.
