Grown up in Lausanne, Switzerland, where I followed engineering studies. My love for filmmaking grew when I took part in a 48h film contest with friends in 2022, which led me down the road to shoot my first serious short film in July 2023, Unsorted, in the context of a month-long summer film school project in Berlin.
"Unsorted" is born from the profound desire to underscore the imperative of embracing others, even in the face of challenges.
Beyond its narrative, the film advocates for the idea that thinking beyond conventional boundaries, quite literally 'out of the box', is instrumental in achieving what may initially seem unattainable. The film uses an absurd and visually striking disability to vividly portray a broader spectrum of both visible and invisible disabilities. It serves as a visual metaphor, illustrating that disabilities, regardless of their nature, can be accommodated with awareness and a proactive commitment to inclusivity.
"Unsorted" aims to foster a deeper understanding that, more often than not, the key to overcoming barriers lies in a collective awareness and a genuine desire to include one another.
