The only festival dedicated to films with improvisation at their core. We feature films developed through improvisation, films which are soft scripted, or who use improv to enhance the script.

The spirit of the work should be collaborative and use improvisation that seeks to tell a story.

Last year's festival featured Alex Karpovsky's (Girls) feature documentary, Trust, Us - This is All Made Up http://www.trustusfilm.com/

2014 will feature a panel of filmmakers who use improvisation as a tool in script development.

The Supreme Honorary Improvised Theatre and Film Awards (SHITFA) - or SHITTYS - recognize achievement in improvised film and theatre and will honor risk takers in improvised performance, direction and general innovation in shorts and features.
