Director Biography - R. W. Jones

R. W. Jones started his journey into filmmaking when he was just 15 years old as a student in high school, where he studied the arts of writing, acting, and directing under Rob Metcalf and Kendahl Landreth. During his time there, he helped produce hundreds of different scenes and participated in countless competitions throughout California. While playing baseball in college, he helped direct many different types of talent, including singers, dancers, dance groups, actors, magicians, and comedians. He also traveled around the country to five different states and six different cities while shooting/directing a series of eleven professional hip hop dance videos. He has shot and directed a number of interviews and speeches for The Albert Baker Fund as well. Realizing his true love and passion for film, he moved to New Mexico shortly after college, where he was first established as a P.A. on the show Briar Patch. Soon after that, he switched sides of the camera and played a zombie in Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead. He was then acquainted with the world of acting in an entirely new fashion as a stuntman and rider in the movie News of the World with Tom Hanks. He continued pursuing film and got the opportunity to act as a doctor/hand model on the CW show Roswell not too long after that. From there he landed an audition to star in a full length feature film called A Lone Wolf. Robin Jones also worked for Red Carpet Broadcasting during the Santa Fe Film Festival as a sound and camera man. Since then, he has jumped around to different projects while pursuing his passion of directing. Recently, he has Directed and Executive Produced the short film Unresolved, co-written, produced, and will direct the up-coming project Morning Light.
