Unload
“Unload” is a videodance that focuses on the ritual experience of evangelical churches of the neo-Pentecostal line, understood as a set of gestures and symbols. Conceptually, the work operates the power relations existing in the space of the ritual known as "Sessão de Descarrego" (Unloading Session), pointing out: to its origin, directly linked to black culture and Afro-Brazilian religions; for the Manichean good/evil relationship, derived from this symbolic appropriation; and for the pastor/believer relationship, which crosses the psychic path and cultivation of this religious practice in a community that has grown significantly in recent decades and has also become relevant in Brazilian politics, especially in the current ultra-conservative scenario.
