The University of Montana seeks short films from High School seniors interested in attending The University of Montana in Fall 2015. However, you may submit even if you don't plan on attending the University of Montana. You must provide a picture of your student i.d. once selected for this competition.
The films can be in any genre, on any subject and must be 15 minutes or under. Any high school senior from the USA or CANADA may submit.
The film with the most votes wins. The winning filmmaker receives $1,000 in cash, $1,000 scholarship to The University of Montana if they major in Media Arts and a $1,000 scholarship if they register for The Entertainment Management certificate totaling $3,000 in prizes.

Any high school senior graduating in 2015 can submit to compete to this competition. If you compete and are not a high school senior, you will be disqualified from competition.
This is an online competition.

Films 15 minutes and under are eligible.
The films can be in any genre and on any topic.
You must have the authority to submit the film for our consideration.
Your film will be viewable to the general public for voting purposes and will remain on our site for perpetuity unless you delete it from the site.
You must have obtained all the necessary rights (including music rights), consents, authorizations and licenses covering the film.
There must not be pending or anticipated litigation regarding the film.
The films begin competing February 24, 2015 at 9:00 am MDT. The film with the most votes on March 10, 2014 at 4:00 pm MDT wins $1000 in cash.
The winner receives a $1000 scholarship to The University of Montana if they declare Media Arts as their major.
The winner receives an additional $1000 scholarship if they register for the Entertainment Management Certificate.
The Audience Awards will mail the cash award to the winner’s address provided at time of registration.
The student will receive contact information of who to contact to receive their scholarships upon winning the competition.
Free to submit to compete.
The film must not include hate speech, excessive violence, slanderous or libelous claims, or any other actionable offenses.
The film must not (i) infringe any rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights or IP rights, including any music-related rights, (ii) be defamatory or indecent, and (iii) violate any applicable laws.
