Unititled

I started writing this film the summer before my senior year. In my junior year, I spent too much time thinking about needing to say goodbye to my senior friends, even in September or October when they would graduate in June. It was almost as if I was grieving the end of our friendship even though it hadn’t ended. When I started to write it, I already knew that my senior year of high school would be the best and worst year. I had a solid friend group full of people I cared about and I would have an amazing school year with them, but I would spend the whole year counting my lasts; My last first day, my last HOCO, my last time dancing my heart out to Dancing Queen as a 17-year-old, my last school musical, my last Halloween, etc. And so I made this film as a reminder to myself: make high school, especially my senior year, something that will be sad to graduate from.
