Director Statement

After years of news circulating about police brutality, corruption, misconduct, and militarization, I wanted to tell a story about someone integrated in the institution of the American justice system being confronted with such a situation and their complicity in it.

'Unidentified' was my first experience in the director's chair after shooting several projects as director of photography, and let me tell you: nothing will disabuse you of belief in the director as auteur than actually directing something yourself. I share 'Unidentified' with the dozens of friends, family, and creative collaborators who helped realize it, without which the film would never have been completed.
