Jordan Low is an award-winning Malaysian-Chinese filmmaker based in Kingston, Ontario. Although a business major, Jordan is a creative at heart. His films often feature complex, symbolic, and a bit ambiguous themes - drawing realism from his keen observations of human nature. He quickly became self taught when he discovered his dad’s old camcorder at a young age and developed a unique yet nostalgic style of storytelling in his work
Unhinged Date, is a short inspired by a real-life experience of my colleague Toby Coleman from Queens Television. This project delves into the humor and awkwardness of modern dating, capturing the unexpected twists that can arise during a seemingly ordinary Hinge date. With a blend of comedic moments and uncanny insights, we explore the complexities of human connection in a digital age.
Queens Television or better known as QueensU TV or QUTV, is a prominent film club at Queen's University, Canada.
Each year, the club hosts an annual short film production, providing aspiring screenwriters with the opportunity to bring their stories to life through working with a student film crew. I’m honoured to have been selected as the director for this year’s production, contributing to a vibrant community dedicated to storytelling and innovation.
