Mike Harrigan is a seasoned writer, director, producer and developer of non-scripted and scripted television and film. He has worked with numerous networks and digital outlets throughout his two-decade-long career. Mike has also directed a variety of celebrities, including Billy Bob Thornton, Anthony Anderson, Laila Ali and Tom Arnold.
Mike has been nominated for six Daytime Emmy awards for his producing work on “Home Made Simple with Laila Ali” and “Blank Wall Overhaul.” He created the concept for the 2003 documentary, “A Century of Black Cinema,” which received critical acclaim. Around that same time, he wrote and produced his first feature film, “The Least Likely Candidate,” which starred Angelica Bridges of “Baywatch” fame. His short “Unexpected,” received an honorable mention in the Easterseals Disability 48-hour Film Challenge.
Mike is in post-production for his upcoming feature documentary, “Everything's Kosher,” which he directed and co-executive produced.
He also wrote, directed and produced the comedy TV pilot, “SWIPE,” which is currently on Kold Open and has piqued interest from various production companies.
Mike has also written several other feature screenplays, including “Dating My Dead Ex,” a rom-com that placed in the Top 40 Screenplays on The Black List. Another screenplay he has written is the coming-of-age comedy, “Pipe Dreamz” which has received positive feedback. Additionally, his comedy TV pilot, “Chicago Style,” was a finalist in the Chicago Comedy Film Festival.
