Understanding TAY
This one hour documentary film explores the fascinating journey of youth transitioning into adulthood from government systems of care (foster care, juvenile justice). In rare glimpses within the jail system and the gritty realities of aged out foster youth, follow the stories of a handful of newly "adults" as they grapple with coming of age amidst the backdrop of having been raised by government, and celebrate their remarkable resiliency forged through these same experiences.
