Born in Hermosillo Sonora Mexico. My name is Ari Figueroa and I am passionate about the world of cinema since I can remember. In 2018 was when I started making my first low budget professional projects with my friends and we created our production company "ARTIC Casa Creativa".
Throughout the last 4 years I have participated in 18 audiovisual projects related to the world of cinema (6 music videos, 11 short films and 1 TV series) of which on 9 occasions I was a producer.
I have a wide knowledge of most of the areas of a film shoot. I think that in order to be able to order, first you have to know how to do things.
Why is it important to make this project a reality?
Unfortunately, Mexican society has been a clear example of hatred towards dependent people and those who care for them. Discrimination and lack of understanding towards these cases often leads to fatal consequences. Therefore, it is important to talk about these issues that no one takes into account and create a culture of empathy, respect and inclusion.
What are we looking for?
We seek to carry out this project with the hope of having an impact on a Mexican society that lacks empathy on the subject. To make them think about their indifference, discrimination or any other negative behavior. We seek to open the discussion and generate an environment of empathy in Mexicans regarding the responsibility of caring for a child with autism. We want them to understand and think about their privilege. Not all parents are equally fortunate and deserve to be listened to, respected and supported.
We do not seek to fall into clichés or dramas, to say that it is right or wrong, only to project in a realistic way what a mother lives day by day. As her world changes, her friendships leave, her goals pause and her life in general, takes a 360 degree turn.
