A piece for eight hands
Four friends reunite in their former student house in Canfora, a small town in the Irno’s Valley near the University of Salerno. It’s here that they stumble upon a relic of their past—an old PC filled with melodies and memories. This chance discovery sparks a journey through anecdotes, clichés, and reflections on their shared history.
What emerges is a seamless fusion of storytelling and sound, digitally restored and remixed for the present day. "Un Pezzo a OttoMani" is not a mockumentary, nor is it a traditional music video—it’s a mockuclip, blurring the line between fiction and reality.
In only 12 minutes and 27 seconds, this visually striking and emotionally charged mockuclip weaves rediscovered audio, three remixes, anecdotes, and a rich archive of visuals serving as a historical archive of Salerno’s underground culture and the quest for self-managed social spaces. A heartfelt celebration of friendship, music and rave culture.
Z-Axis and Galè proudly unveil "Un Pezzo a OttoMani", a groundbreaking short film that blends nostalgia, storytelling, and beats into an immersive visual experience.

**Aldo Galelli:** Videomaker, born in 1981, from Salerno.
Just a few months after conception, he was already protesting—kicking and punching—against the overexposure of his ultrasound scans.
He attempted to self-produce the video of his birth and baptism, but with disastrous results, losing most of the footage in the process.
That’s when he realized it was time to study. And since then, he never stopped.
He doesn’t take himself too seriously, and only while writing this bio did he realise that he has been in this industry for more than 20 years.
All things considered—between teaching film courses in schools, shooting festival reportages on cinema, music, and comics, working as a director of photography for web series and short films, directing music videos and ads, and collaborating with companies and industry professionals—he *should* feel mature.
He *should*, but the constant exchange of ideas, sharing experiences, pushing himself, and rediscovering the audiovisual medium makes him feel like a kid playing with his favorite toy… which he enjoys far more than writing his bio in the third person!
