In order to be eligible to submit to the UWPG Film Festival:
1. You must be either a recent graduate of a Canadian post-secondary institution in the last academic year (2024-2025) OR a current student at a Canadian post-secondary institution.
2. The film must have been produced in the last academic year (2024-2025) or current academic year
3. Proof of enrolment. (Student ID, etc)
4. In order to submit, you must own the rights to the film and either be the writer, director or producer of the submitted work. If there is more than one director, please indicate this on the application. If your film is chosen to screen, we will request written permission from the other director.
5. All films must have cast and crew credits, and show the year the film was made.
6. You can submit a maximum of 2 films per applicant.
7. There is a length restriction of films are maximum 20 minutes.
Terms & Conditions:
All materials (including but not limited to photo stills and the submitted film) will be retained by The UWPG Film Festival and will be used for various promotional purposes, including but not limited to local, national and international press and electronic media. For films selected for the festival, UWPG Film Festival reserves the right to screen the entry at the festival and to include the work in retrospective programs at future festivals. UWPG Film Festival may also use portions of accepted films for festival and tour montages. UWPG Film Festival will retain a copy of the film for the permanent library, along with all promotional materials. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold UWPG Film Festival harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered. By submitting the above-named film for entry in the 2025 UWPG Film Festival, you agree to be bound by the terms stated on this entry form.
