General Rules:

- Submission is open to all currently enrolled UW-Milwaukee Students only
- All work must have been completed during the Spring 2015 semester.
- There is no limit the number of submissions per student.
- Work containing copyrighted material is ineligible unless the student has written permission from the copyright holder. If such permission has been obtained, a copy should be included with their submission.

Judging Process:

No students or Rho Eta Xi members are permitted to judge the works at the festival. The judging panel for the Spring 2015 semester consists of up to 5 individuals selected from the film and video making community. Great pains have been taken to guarantee that the process eliminates any bias, and that every student has an equal and fair chance of being judged for the festival. The selection and judging process will take place in a closed screening before the festival. Students selected to screen at the festival will be contacted by a Rho Eta Xi officer to provide the work in its production format.

Screening Waiver:
Rho Eta Xi is not responsible for any technical glitches on the entry files (skipping, pixilation, etc). If we notice any inconsistencies, we will contact the student. Please be advised that student work may be uploaded to video hosting accounts either controlled by Rho Eta Xi or the UWM Film Department. In addition, Rho Eta Xi and the UWM Film Department reserve the right to create festival DVDs using student work to distribute to prospective students and to promote next year’s festival. By submitting to the festival, the student also grants Rho Eta Xi the right to replay their work during future festivals or at other screenings in whole or in part, whether or not the work was included in any festival program. If you do not wish for your piece to be screened in the future or if you do not wish to have your work displayed on the above websites or made accessible though the film department’s or Rho Eta Xi’s DVDs, please indicate so on the entry form. All festival programs are archived by either Rho Eta Xi or the UWM Film Department.
