UNNAMED
Josh C. Aiardo seems to always have the world on his shoulders, from his abusive brother, his sick sister, to his AWOL military father, he can't seem to move on from his past. Josh is ultimately put up to the test of withstanding his malicious mind games, a journey he wants to take on his own, without everybody telling him he needs to get help. When he gives in, deciding to follow everybody's advice, he realises it's not his thing, and decides to take another path to healing, undecided on what the future will hold, before his father's return, reuniting the pair at last.

Em (Emilia) Arrigo, 17 years old. My ethnic background is of Italian origin, but I was born and bred in London, meaning my media consumption growing up expanded across a number of cultures, especially growing up in Harrow, a cosmopolitan city. I began my filmmaking Journey when I was 14 years old, with an extensive theatre and acting background since the age of 5. I was always dreaming up stories, that began to weave themselves into my novel writing and screenwriting, with the occasional venture into the world of song and musical score. Since starting this film, I have developed long lasting friendships, discovered immense youth talent, and a sense of hope in youth filmmaking.
Working with such an incredible crew was honestly eye opening. From working on story and cinematography, with the incredible Juwayriyah, and then idea generation and camera with East, to the whole cast, and my composer Kaelan, every moment was magical, and I hope to spread this magic with other people with the knowledge that the whole crew's hard work is represented endlessly in this piece.
Why this film was made?
The most important message I feel nowadays among people my age, is that healing is a journey that is different to everybody, and that the uniqueness is such a beautiful part of life. Making the story that became this film was definitely the moment where we decided that this was the kind of message we wanted to go for.
