Leo Citrin is a film student from Toronto, Canada. He has written, directed, and acted in independent film and theatre projects.
"Typewriter, Cigarette, Rotary Phone" is about the grip the past has on us, and the possessive, though comforting, nature of 'memory'.
Shot on an increasingly archaic medium (B&W 16mm film,) we embraced the challenge of telling a story using classic filmmaking sensibilities, for an audience today.
We hope this film resonates with people emotionally and inspires young creatives to be reminded of the humanity of older demographics, who deserve to have their unique and important stories told.
