Twelve Steps
Sam is a 17 year old high schooler, small for his size. One day, he goes into school drunk. He is given a court mandate to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting early in the morning. He goes to the meeting expecting to gain nothing but meets characters such as Albert, Vanessa, Chris, Trish, and David who all have their own quirks and understanding about their addictions. Sam wrestles with himself to actually confront his issue and start to understand the world around him.

Brian Endres is a writer and director from Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from Northern Arizona University in the spring of 2021 with a degree in Creative Media and Film with an emphasis in independent filmmaking. He has an interest in crafting personal yet universal stories based on characters that many of us could know in our day to day lives. With Twelve Steps, Brian attempted to explore addiction, innocence, and growing up through many different characters and personalities. Working with primarily non-actors, Brian focused on the beauty in day to day life, the small moments that go unnoticed everyday.
