Ashley France
Ashley France is an inspiring filmmakers who is currently attending the University of Staffordshire. He has always had an interest in making films and hopes to achieve his goal throughout the course of be involved in the production of filmmaking. His hopes are to learn a variety of skills such as teamworking, professionalism and time management that are key in making films
His goals for this project is to make something that will interest the viewers narratively, through gripping visuals that will capture the audience. During Ambleside he hopes to learn skills such as how to use the camera. Also, recording audio such as voxpop for the film. In the end he hopes to have created a film with his crew that will interest the audience.
Steven Hall
Steven Hall is an aspiring filmmaker who is studying at the University of Staffordshire. Filmmaking has been a passion of his from a young age and he considers the opportunity to be involved in making a short film to be an exciting one. Not only will it be the start of his filmmaking journey, but it will also allow him to learn the necessary skills needed for shooting on location. His main passion is editing but through the project he has learnt a range of different skills to help him become the best filmmaker he can be as part of a team.
His aim for this project is to make a visually interesting story to show off his individual abilities and the teams abilities. By collaborating with others, he has learnt a lot about teamwork and how important it is to making a film.
After Ambleside he is hoping that he will have learnt a great amount to be able to keep improving his personal skills and team working skills for future projects.
Samuel Norcop
Samuel Norcop is an aspiring filmmaker and currently studying Film Production at the University of Staffordshire. As a first-year student he is thrilled to have the chance to develop his filmmaking abilities, he feels that working on the Ambleside project and getting involved at every level of filmmaking is both a daunting and exciting prospect
From an early age he has always had an interest in film, whether it was watching Scorsese’s Goodfellas or Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy, as he has grown older he has explored different styles of cinema and became familiar with the way filmmakers showed their own personal styles. He hopes to work with the cinematography aspects of film when he graduates as he enjoys exploring how lighting and colour can affect a film.
Mae Plenderleith
Mae Plenderleith is a passionate and aspiring filmmaker currently studying film production at the University of Staffordshire. She enjoys the creativity of filmmaking, being able to bring ideas to life visually, shaping how an audience can experience the story. She is excited to build on her skills and previous experience of filmmaking to pursue a future career in film. The Ambleside project will help to put her skills of filmmaking together to create a captivating film in which she can bring to life a person’s own story and use the camera to portray the narrative in a creative and visually interesting way that can send a message to those who watch the final piece. For this project, she will be putting all the skills she has learnt together in a professional environment and collaborate with a group she has never worked with before to create an exciting project.
