Tulika

Tulika meets a boy on Facebook but hesitates to meet him too soon. They eventually meet, but the boy becomes intimate with her despite her reluctance. Tulika is left traumatized and alone, finally taking drastic measures.

Director Biography - Sifat Nusrat

The movie was created by Sifat Nusrat, who also played a role in the film. Sifat Nusrat is a student at the University of Liberal Arts majoring in Digital Production. She is highly passionate and committed to her work, taking on multiple roles such as screenwriting, acting, producing, and modeling. Currently, she is directing for the National Daily Newspaper Sangbad Sarabela.

Director Statement

The tale of Tulika is a powerful one inspired by a true story. It took us three months to bring Tulika's story to life, relying on our creative imagination as our greatest strength. The use of pathos, or emotional appeal, is a powerful tool for persuasion. In Tulika's case, her story evokes strong emotions and creates a profound impact. She faced a terrifying experience when she met a stranger she had only spoken to online and was harassed by him in a hotel room. She felt uncomfortable and lost everywhere she went, slowly digging her grave. Eventually, she could no longer bear it and lay on that grave. Tulika's story is a reminder of the importance of staying safe and aware and the strength it takes to overcome difficult situations.
