Director Statement

Balíme (Trust Game) is a story inspired by my personal experience of directing a stage drama. My key theme is “trust”. Directors and actors need to share trust, so do the lovers. That’s the connection I found, and it made me decide to do a film within a film.

My aim is to show the complicated emotions when the director needs to make a decision for the sake of a better film, although it will be a sacrifice to her personal life.

This is a 16mm project from FAMU directing program.
