Once known as one of the scariest fish out of water in Hollywood, Gillbert Troutman has since made a name for himself in massage therapy. They call him the ‘Moist Master of Massage’. Making people feel wetter & better is one thing, but not enough to fill his heart’s desire: to find his long lost daughter Cybelle. Can Gilly, with the "help" of his agent Gary, find a way to contact his daughter by jumping back into the spotlight?

Director Biography - Kieran Jones

Kieran Jones is a first (& probably last) time Bristol based Director & filmmaker, jumping fresh out the gates of university. Armed with crippling debt, a questionable degree and a frightening combination of naivety & optimism, Kieran hopes to make someone chuckle or at least blow more air out their nostrils than normal with his one film.

Kieran has loved watching films ever since he was a little kid, that’s why he has few friends. Despite this, he has always loved the classic side of Hollywood and adores the old, absurd comedies from the likes of Laurel & Hardy, Norman Wisdom, Charlie Chaplin & Mel Brooks; additionally, Kieran relishes in good old monster movies like King Kong, Nosferatu and obviously, the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

He wanted to create a film that mixed his favourite genres of absurd comedy & monster movies, thus making the one-fish-wonder, Troutman. If Taika Waititi & Ricky Gervais were related, and had a baby together, this would be their spawn. As there is currently a lot of negativity in the world, Kieran hopes he can make people laugh & forget about everything else for a brief moment. Laughter is the best medicine after all.
Hopefully, audiences will leave the screening with heads high saying, “What the fuck?”

If I had to summarise Troutman in just 4 words I’d say, “A big, wet mess.”
