Tripping

When estranged best friends Francesca and Zoe reunite in LA, a wild, weed-fueled night leads Zoe to break up with her fiancé, and hit the road with Francesca to start a new life in NYC. But when she confesses she's pregnant, their cross-country road trip becomes a race against time to find a safe and affordable abortion outside of their liberal bubble.

Much like Broad City juxtaposes the chaos of New York City living with the joy and zeal of Abbi and Ilana’s friendship, Tripping will juxtapose the gritty emotional and practical challenges of getting an abortion with the freedom of a cross-country road trip. As the women leave the comforts of their bi-coastal bubbles, they are thrown into new environments that force them to face different versions of America and different brands of feminism. Tripping explores contemporary real-world attacks on reproductive rights, while simultaneously examining the overwhelming pressures of freedom.
