Director Biography - Tony Aaron II

Tony's career as an activist moviemaker began as a homeless 23 year old young man when he relinquished his remaining belongings to take 57 hours of Greyhound buses to get to Hollywood, CA. He slept on the street and when anyone asked him why he was homeless he always responded, "I'm going to write, direct, produce, etc. and own an indie movie studio before I'm 35." As you might expect, a truly tremendous amount of sacrifice and hard work ensued.

As a young black man in Hollywood, not only did he have to build knowledge of how to make movies, he also needed to build a company that would actually make his movies. And he needed to do all of this in an industry that didn't know him and doesn't have many people who look like him in charge. And he had to build this knowledge and company literally from the ground up with very little help. It has been quite the journey and there is still much more work ahead.
